all i meant was we're not talking about how GW2 keeps up GW, but about how GW should/might be going with GW2 taking away anet's attention

i surely would love to see more love (and replies from anet, even though they already said not to give more content...... as GW may be good for in the future, and could do alot of good to anet and GW2, IF they do some bigger things than what they do now...)

let em at least tell us if GW is important for them, and if there is a CHANCE they change their mind or give small content, like some suggested stuff (the non-totally game changing ones)

Seems pretty bleak at the moment considering we literally get nothing anymore, not even a comment. I'd just like for them to deliver on things they've claimed they were doing like the Paragon rework. That surely isn't new content and from all accounts it was already in progress... maybe it's coming but who knows. I am not asking for new content, as I don't consider skill tweaks to be content.

I'm sure many of us who did not appreciate the direction they went with Guild Wars 2 are feeling a bit neglected and maybe even a little jealous of all the attention the new baby is getting. Maybe once their enthusiasm for it dies down a bit they will take a look at some of the problems still plaguing the original.

I do understand it's an old game but until they stop selling it in stores and online and offering things in the in-game store, I cannot accept quietly the neglect they show this game and what community is left.

You have to remember that the reason ArenaNet started developing Guild Wars 2 was to get away from those problems, as they themselves stated. In their eyes the original game was outdated and and they felt limited in what they could do with it. While I agree that there are many issues which could be so easily addressed, ArenaNet's perspective now is that going back to work on Guild Wars would be not only commercially unviable, but almost like punishment for the staff involved.

I'd like to think there are still people in that company who hold a special place for Guild Wars in their hearts, and would love to do more with it. Sadly, ArenaNet has changed, and the majority of staff - old and new - were swept along with the vision of Guild Wars 2. They won't look back.

Deep down I know you speak the truth but I tend to be an optimist until the end. Though their behavior doesn't just bother me in terms of Guild Wars 1, it also does not instill much confidence in me for the long-term future of Guild Wars 2. If they acted this way due to the "limitations" of Guild Wars, how are people to have confidence in them behaving any differently once the limitations of Guild Wars 2 becomes "too much" for them to deal with?

yeah, that is the way I feel about it....if they give up and leave when the going gets rough, where will that leave the next game...or the next? Would be nice if they kept their word (shouldnt expect it since they have been feeding us lines since....almost the beginning).
But have to agree, I dont expect them to do anything more for this game unless something really bad happens to gw2 (and even then I doubt it )
